Driver assaulted in Deeping St James

Police are looking for witnesses after what they described as a 'serious assault' in Deeping St James at the end of June.

It happened near Jubilee Park where a man was reported to have got out of a white Transit van and attacked the driver of a car with “an unknown object”.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault that happened on the mini-roundabout at Burchnall Close, Thackers Way, opposite the (Jubilee) Park, Deeping St James.

“It happened at approximately 9.45pm on Thursday, June 30.”
