Domino's Pizza takeaway plan for former city centre restaurant

A rundown former city centre restaurant could reopen as a pizza takeaway, creating 35 jobs.

A planning application has been submitted to Peterborough city council for the change of use of the one-time Gourmet Xpress restaurant premises, a Listed Building, which closed five years ago.

Prior to that it had operated as Joy Wah, Judges, Bridge Street Bistro and, vey successfully in the 1980s, the Bull and Dolphin restaurant and nightclub.

Pegasus Planning Group Ltd say the pizza takeaway would create 35 full-time and part-time jobs.

The plans have been drawn up for the MSG Group which operates the Domino’s Pizza chain.
