Dessert lounge with grill and shisha plan for Peterborough pub

Ishtar, which will breathe new life into the rundown former Goodbarns Yard pub in St John’s Street, will also offer shisha as one of its attraction when it opens in April.

A spokesman said a comfortable dessert lounge seating 50 plus would be the main thrust of the venue, serving ice creams, fresh cakes, waffles and pancakes. There will also be meats cooked over charcoal grills and a function room vailable for parties or business use.

At the back a shelter with seating and table heaters will be created for shisha users, while a conservatory would be opened up as a shisha lounge for females.

A spokesman said: “ We want to meet a lot of needs - primarily it will be a dessert lounge serving grilled food where people can also smoke shisha in comfort. It will be very family orientated. “
