Deeping beauty is in sharp focus at camera show

Some of the best amateur photographers in south Lincolnshire put their breathtaking work on display in Market Deeping last weekend.

The 13th annual Deepings Camera Club exhibition featured more than 160 photographs for visitors to admire at Deepings Community Centre, Market Deeping.

A variety of themes and subjects were on show, including stunning wildlife, portrait, landscape and sports photography, as well as more inventive and creative works.

Gordon Lack, thes publicity officer, said: “We have been going for more than 30 years and become one of the top camera clubs in the region.

“We have a high standard of photography here, from landscape shots to portraits, and I have learned a lot from other members and visiting judges since I joined the club.

“I’d visited annual exhibitions held by the club in the past and seen the high standard of the images displayed.”

The exhibition was opened by the Mayor of Market Deeping Coun Wayne Lester and prizes were won by Kath Allen and Paschal Jeveons for their photographs called A Quarter Past and Tulips respectively.
