A woman has admitted killing a couple in a crash on the A47 near Peterborough.

Debra Weston, who has been warned she is likely to face a prison sentence, pleaded guilty at Peterborough Crown Court today to two charges of causing death by careless driving.

Stephen Mark Durber (30) and Samantha Jayne Durber (27), both of Princes Road, in Fletton, Peterborough, died in a two-vehicle collision on the A47 near Sacrewell Farm on August 25, 2013.

Weston (41) from Canver Close, Nottingham, admitted two charges of causing death by careless driving in front of a public gallery filled with the victims’ family.

Weston will now be sentenced on February 13 after a report is filed by probation services.

She was warned by Judge Sean Enright that a prison sentence was likely.

The judge also disqualified her from driving until the sentencing.

Weston had pleaded not guilty to the same charges at Peterborough Crown Court on September 8 this year and was expected to stand trial.
