A con man who used a dating agency to trick women into setting up mobile phone contracts for him has pleaded guilty to fraud.
Daniel Pethers (25) of Hammond Close, Wittering, appeared at Peterborough Crown Court yesterday (Monday) where he pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud.
The court was told the five counts related to three victims.
The crimes relate to a period stretching from December 2013 through to October 2014.
The charges said that Pethers persuaded women he met on a dating agency to take phone contracts out on his behalf, with Pethers suggesting they would be transferred into his name on a later date.
Judge Peter Murphy granted Pethers bail until a sentencing hearing on Monday, September 14. He said a pre sentence report should be prepared by the probation service, with all sentencing options remaining open.
