This is why the police helicopter was out over Peterborough last night

The force was called at about 5pm with reports of a missing person in the Stanground area.

Officers were concerned for the man’s welfare and efforts began to locate him, including the use of the helicopter.

The man, who is in his 20s, was later found safe in the Fletton area.
