Warning over council tax scam in Peterborough

Peterborough City Council issued the warning on social media.

It tweeted: “Someone claiming to be us is calling people to tell them that their property’s in the wrong council tax band and they’re eligible for a refund. This is a scam, do not give out your bank details, the council won’t call you about your council tax band. “
