Warning after spate of vehicle damage in Spalding

Motorists are being warned that they need to be vigilant after a spate of damage to vehicles in Spalding.

Over the Christmas period tyres were slashed on about 15 vehicles in Chestnut Avenue, St Paul’s Road, Willow Walk, Laburnum Grove, Acacia Avenue and Banks Avenue.

Additionally, a car was ‘keyed’ in Laburnum Grove.

Community Policing Inspector Jim Tyner said: “I am putting out extra patrols in the area. Please check your car last thing at night, before you go to bed.

“By doing this, we may be able to narrow down the time-frame and have a better chance of catching the culprits if they are still in the area.”

Reports of damage should be made be ringing 101.

People anything suspicious or witnessing a crime in progress are asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 999.
