Police are warning residents to be on their guard after a pensioner was conned out of money in a distraction burglary in Peterborough.
The incident took place ta 9am on Tuesday, November 3 in Arundel Road, Walton, Peterborough.
The elderly victim was approached by a man claiming he needed money to buy a cooker.
Officers are aware of other similar attempts in the area. They are urging people not to give money to individuals approaching them and to report any suspicious circumstances by calling 101.
