Residents are being warned to keep their wheelie bins away from properties following a fire in Wisbech.
Arsonists set fire to the bin in Magazine Lane, Wisbech at about 6.45am on February 19.
A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “A wheelie bin had been left within quite close proximity to a house on this occasion, making this incident potentially very serious if the fire had spread.
“We are aware residents may have small gardens and not a lot of space around their properties, but we are urging them to store wheelie bins out of sight if possible or at the very least, store them a safe distance from your house.”
Anyone with information about the arson should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
