Two men due in Peterborough court over alleged hunting offences

Two men are due to appear in court this morning (Wednesday) over allegations of illegal fox hunting.

The men, from the Fitzwilliam Hunt, will appear at Peterborough Magistrates Court in connection with the allegations, which are said to have happened on New Year’s Day this year.

George Adams (64) will face a charge of hunting a wild mammal with dogs, while John Mease (44) faces a charge of hunting a wild mammal with dogs and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. The causing suffering count dates back to November 2013, and involves a fox.
