Two men have been handed football banning orders for causing trouble at Peterborough United matches.

Ben Horrocks, 19, of Millport Drive, Eye and Nathan Hopkins, 22, of Lombardy Drive in Peterborough, are now banned from attending any football matches in the UK or England matches abroad for three years.

Peterborough Magistrates’ Court heard the pair were involved in multiple incidents of anti-social behaviour and disorder at home and away fixtures involving Peterborough United.

The banning order also prevents the men from visiting specific areas of Peterborough during home games and going within five miles of the away matches.

PC Mark Wood said: “This sends a clear message to anyone who wants to get involved in disorder at matches.

“It will not be tolerated and the consequences could have a serious effect on your life.”
