Two injured after separate violent attacks in Peterborough last night

Two men were injured in two separate violent attacks in Peterborough yesterday evening, Monday March 7.

Police attended Chadburn, in Paston, shortly after 10.30pm following reports of an assault carried out by three or four men. The victim, a man in his 40s, received minor injuries as a result of the attack.

The second incident also happened at about 10.30pm in Springnall, Bretton. A man in his 20s was approached by a group of up to 10 individuals and was attacked.

He received serious, but not life threatening, injuries as a result of the incident and had his wallet stolen.

Officers are keeping an open mind in the investigation, but at this stage it is not thought the incidents are linked.
