A disused factory building was set on fire two days in a row.

Police are searching for arsonists after fire crews were called to Padholme Road East, near the Frank Perkins Parkway, on Monday at 8.46pm and Tuesday at 5.37pm.

In the first incident, on entry to the building fire crews discovered two fires. And in the second, they found a quantity of rubbish was on fire.

It is unknown what use the building once had but police are trying to trace its owner.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 9.10pm on Monday to a small fire at an old factory building in Padholme Road East. Investigators deemed that the fire had been started deliberately.

“On Tuesday, police were called by the Fire Brigade at 5.50pm to reports of rubbish being set on fire deliberately on Padholme Road East.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
