Two arrested on suspicion of murder nearly a year after father of five died following assault

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder nearly a year after the death of a father of five.

Robert Duquemin, 53, died at a property in Ringwood Close in Bury near Ramsey on the morning of Thursday, 10 October 2019.

It is believed that Mr Duquemin was the victim of an assault on Saturday 5 October at his home in Percy Green Place, Huntingdon.

Now police have confirmed two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 24-year-old man from Huntingdon has been arrested on suspicion of murder, two counts of attempted murder and possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

A 20-year-old woman from Huntingdon has been arrested on suspicion of murder, possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing class B drugs with intent to supply.

Both were arrested this morning (16 September), and remain in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough.

The attempted murder offences relate to an incident in Huntingdon on 5 October last year, in which a car was allegedly driven at two people causing one of them serious injuries.
