Two arrested in Peterborough area on suspicion of stealing diesel from lorries

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of stealing diesel from lorries.

The arrests were made at about 1.45am today (Tuesday, September 18) on the A16 near Newborough.

The men - a 43-year-old man from Peterborough and 20-year-old of no fixed abode - have been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and going equipped to steal.

They remain in custody.
