TV presenter to stand trial at Peterborough court over speed charges

Television and radio personality Johnny Vaughan will stand trial at Peterborough Magistrates' Court charged with three speeding offences earlier this year.

The former Big Breakfast host is accused of driving his BMW over the speed limit on January 28, February 19 and March 11.

Vaughan (51) was said to be travelling over the 40mph speed limit on the A1 in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire on all three occasions.

The case management hearing on Tuesday at Peterborough Magistrates Court was heard in his absence.

Vaughan has pleaded not guilty to all three charges and will stand trial at the same court on February 7, 2019.
