Superintendent Daff formally launched the Peterborough Neighbourhood Watch Association in 1992 to benefit local residents and helped spread crime prevention efforts.

Current association chairman Alan Paul said: ”Alan Daff certainly had the foresight and community mindedness to help all the volunteers move into a self-organised association. We are eternally grateful for his vision at that time.”

The association has remained active ever since the launch and can now boast 7,000 members, including growth of 300 extra households in 2020.
