Three Peterborough men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder rebailed

Three men have been rebailed by police having been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was dragged along a Peterborough road by a car.

The incident took place just after midnight on Sunday April 24 near to Barclays Bank in Lincoln Road.

The victim, a 25-year-old Peterborough man, was speaking to the occupants of a dark coloured vehicle when it drove off dragging him along the road.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said the man was unconscious but breathing when they arrived, and was initially taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treatment.

Three men were arrested in connection with the incident. A 25-year-old man from Peterborough was been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, while a 29-year-old man from Peterborough and a 27-year-old man from Peterborough were arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted murder.

They answered bail yesterday, Tuesday May 10, and have been rebailed by police until June 9.
