Three arrested after Peterborough pensioner is hospitalised following violent burglary

Three people have been arrested after an aggravated burglary in Peterborough in which a pensioner was hospitalised having been punched in the head several times.

At 5.20pm on Saturday, September 8, police received calls that a man had entered the victim’s house in Bretton and hit him several times in the head before stealing his car and £60.

The victim, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 45-year-old man, 42-year-old woman and 17-year-old girl from Peterborough have been arrested in connection to the incident.

The woman and girl have both been released on bail until Friday, September 14.

The man remains in custody at this time.
