Three arrested after ‘gang fight’ at Peterborough’s Werrington Centre released with no further action

Three people arrested after what was described as a “gang fight” at the Werrington Centre have been released with no further action to be taken.

Police were called at about 5.20pm yesterday (Sunday, September 23) to reports of violence involving a group of people in Staniland Way, Werrington.

It is believed a man was injured, but he has not been traced.

An 18-year-old man and two 17-year-old boys from Peterborough were arrested on suspicion of affray, but have now been released with no further action.

Andy Simmonds, who is the landlord of The Ploughman which is based at the centre, said the incident involved a gang fight.
