Teenager charged with theft and assault at Peterborough supermarket
A teenager has been charged following reports of theft and assault at a Peterborough supermarket.
The 17-year-old girl from Kent, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested following the incident at Tesco Metro in Broadway at about 8.30pm on Tuesday evening (7 April).
She has since been charged with theft of four bottles of wine and two bottles of Malibu, and also assaulting a member of the store’s staff.
She has been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
