A teenager has been arrested after threatnening staff with a hammer and assaulting a police officer at the Soul Survivor Festival in Peterborough.

Officers attended the Soul Survivor faith festival at the East Of England Showground in Peterborough yesterday, Wednesday August 22, following reports of a male threatening staff with a hammer.

An 18-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, theft, a public order offence, assaulting a police officer and possession of an offensive weapon and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station, where he remains in custody.

Soul Survivor Festival is a faith festival that describes itself as " five days of worship, teaching, ministry and hanging out with God and with each other."
