Police warning over keyless car thefts in Peterborough

A number of cars have been stolen in Peterborough over the last week without any keys.

Police crime prevention officer Amanda Large said: “We have seen a number cars stolen this week across Peterborough in this way.

“Owners of high value, desirable cars are advised to take extra precautions.”

A Mercedes was stolen in Hampton on Friday, October 5 (crime reference number 35/35187/18), a Renault was stolen in Stanground on Monday, October 8 (35/35831/18) and a BMW was stolen in Stanground on Tuesday, October 9 (35/36097/18).
