Police still appealing for information following Peterborough stabbing

The victim a man in his 30s, was walking his dog in Gunthorpe Ridings at about 4.15pm when he was approached by a man in a white van.

The man got out of the vehicle and accused the victim of stealing his dog before pulling out a black knife and stabbing the victim in his back.

He made off in the white van, leaving the victim with serious injuries to his lower back and hand.

Today (Monday) police confirmed no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.

The Cambridgeshire police spokesman also confirmed the dog was uninjured in the incident, and the victim had managed to get the dog to a friend to look after.

DC Paul Twell said: “The offender is described as black, mid to late 30s, about 5’ 10”, skinny, with afro style hair and wore a grey jumper and blue jeans.”
