Police have teamed up with Peterborough City Council to carry out the operation.
Officers have issued a warning to the public who may be concerned at an increase in police presence around the city today.
A spokesmnan said: “The public should be aware of a planned police presence in Peterborough this morning as part of a human trafficking operation.”
