Police officer from March is set to appear in court

A detective is due to appear in court today (Monday) charged with misconduct in public office.

Detective Sergeant Matt Swash (40) who was based at March Police Station, will appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court.

He is currently awaiting trial after previously denying 11 counts of sexual assault and two counts of misconduct in public office.

This is scheduled to take place on June 29 at St Albans Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to one charge under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
