Police investigating incident which left a woman unconscious say there were no suspicious circumstances

Police have said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding an incident which left a woman lying unconscious in a street.

At about 8pm on Wednesday September 30, Police and ambulance responded to an emergency call to North Street, Bourne. A woman was found unconscious and taken to hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

A 55-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident, but today a Lincolnshire police spokesman said: “Following our investigation, Officers are satisfied that there are no suspicious circumstances so the 55-year-old man arrested yesterday has been released with no further action.”
