Police investigate stabbing in Peterborough

Police are investigating after a person was stabbed in Peterborough last night (Saturday).

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the incident took place in Southfields Avenue, Stanground at about 9.15pm.

The spokesman said the incident resulted in serious injuries.

A police presence is still at the scene. The spokesman said officers were involved in scene preservation.
