Police helicopter deployed over Peterborough in hunt for knife wielding man after stabbing report

The police helicopter was called in as a manhunt was launched in Peterborough last night following reports of a stabbing.

Officers were called at 3.38pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday October 17, with reports of a suspected stabbing in Pendleton, Ravensthorpe.

Ambulance crews attended and took the victim, a 20-year-old man, to Peterborough City Hospital where he was checked over and confirmed he had not been stabbed, but suffered cuts and lacerations from a sharp implement.

The police helicopter was deployed to try to locate the offender who made off on foot after the incident.

No arrests have been made at this time.
