A fight between 20 people in a Peterborough street was reported to police in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Police were alerted at 2am over the reported brawl in Oundle Road, Peterborough.
It is understood the brawl was connected to an incident at the Cross Keys pub, in which a man threw a bar stool through a window and smashed a number of glasses before fleeing the scene.
Teresa Gallacher, who is in charge of the pub, said: “It seemed to start from an argument between two women.
“It is annoying that people would damage our property for no reason.”
The cost of repairs has been put at £600.
Woodston Councillor Nick Thulbourn said he believed five people had been arrested.
A police press officer said she could not contact the officer involved to confirm the arrests.
