Police appeal after handbag is lost in Market Deeping with prescription medication

Police are appealing for information after a woman lost her handbag containing a large quantity of prescription medication.

The handbag was lost in Market Deeping on Wednesday, April 1, at around 6pm.

The handbag was on the bottom of a pushchair and at some stage between Wellington Way and the junction of Towngate East and Halfleet the bag is believed to have fallen off unnoticed.

The lady owner discovered her bag was missing a few minutes later and retraced her steps, but the bag had gone. It is believed it could have been picked up by another person.

The bag contains a large quantity of prescription medication including Pregabalin, Valium, Zolpidem, Sertraline, Diazepam, Mirtzapine, and Lansoprazole.

The handbag did not contain anything else and is described as black fabric, approximately 30 cm x 25cm, with zips and the letter “G” on the front of it.
