Police act to reassure residents after man seen with knife in Welland

Peterborough police have sought to reassure residents after a man was reported wandering through Welland with a knife.

Officer were called at about 5.30pm yesterday, Tuesday June 28, to reports of a man with a knife in Redmile Walk, Welland.

A 22-year-old man from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife and is currently in custody at Thorpe Wood police station.
