Peterborough woman denies defecating in a police vehicle and spitting at officer

A woman has appeared in court charged with seven offences including spitting at a police officer, burglary and an indecent act.

Trinity Sanders, 28, was arrested on Friday afternoon (28 August) in Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough, in connection with incidents at B&M in Bridge Street and Park Inn Hotel in Wentworth Street earlier that day.

She has since been charged with burglary with intent to steal and criminal damage of a TV unit and table, both relating to Park Inn Hotel, common assault by spitting at a member of security staff at B&M, assaulting an emergency worker by spitting at a police officer, criminal damage of a police vehicle, outraging public decency by urinating and defecating in a police vehicle and indecent behaviour within a police cell.

Sanders, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday 2 September) where she denied the charges against her. She has been further remanded in custody to appear at the same court on Monday (7 September).
