A Peterborough based Special Constable has been cleared of gross misconduct at a hearing today.

Special Constable Michael Nixon, based at Thorpe Wood Police Station, attended the hearing at Bedfordshire Police HQ.

In May, SC Nixon was cautioned over malicious communications in April 2017, by way of anonymous, abusive text messages to an ex-girlfriend.

His behaviour was found not to have amounted to gross misconduct and the hearing was told there was no case to answer.
