The Eyes and Ears scheme is holding a virtual training session on Friday from 9am to 10am.

The scheme is “designed to empower you with knowledge about many issues people in our communities are facing, as well as signs to look out for so you can spot if someone may need help. And of course, the right people to talk to about each different issue”.

Training will help people learn more about protecting people from issues such as cyber crime, domestic abuse, fraud, radicalisation and at-risk children.

The scheme has been developed by East Cambridgeshire District Council, which said: “We here at Eyes and Ears want to keep everyone safe. Sadly, sometimes the professional forces just don’t have a chance to see what is happening around us, and this is where we as a community and as individuals can make a real difference to the lives of people.”
