A Peterborough prostitute has been banned from part of the city at night to prevent her from offending.
Lisa Harrison, (40), of South Parade, has become the first person in Peterborough to be issued with the two year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in relation to prostitution at Peterborough Magistrates Court.
Officers from the Op Can Do team, in conjunction with the Safer Peterborough Partnership (SPP), secured the CBO under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 which came into for in October last year.
The order means she cannot be found in an area of town including parts of Lincoln Road, Park Road, Taverners Road and New Road.
The judge heard how Harrison had been arrested a number of times for persistently soliciting for the purposes of prostitution, despite being warned by officers.
She was arrested on March 12 this year after being caught in the act in a Burleigh Road garden. She was charged with persistently soliciting for the purpose of prostitution and bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on March 27, however failed to attend.
