Peterborough police officer to face misconduct hearing after sending abusive messages to ex-girlfriend

A Peterborough police officer will face a misconduct hearing after he sent anonymous, abusive text messages to an ex-girlfriend.

Thorpe Wood Police Station where Special Constable Michael Nixon is based

Special Constable Michael Nixon, based at Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough, will attend the hearing at Bedfordshire Police HQ, Woburn Road, Kempston on Thursday September 13.

In May 2018, SC Nixon was cautioned over malicious communications in April 2017, by way of anonymous, abusive text messages to an ex-girlfriend.

It is alleged this behaviour breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct.
