Peterborough pensioner hurt as burglar forces his way into home

A pensioner was injured when a burglar pushed his way into his home in Peterborough.

The incident happened last Thursday ( November 23) in Mill Crescent, Orton Waterville at about 6pm when a man forced his way into the victim’s home.

The man, described as 5’6” with grey hair and in his 40s, took a small amount of cash.

The victim, a man in his 80s, suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Detective Constable Justin Parr said: “It is despicable to target the elderly and vulnerable and we will do everything we can to find the man responsible.

“We are keen to speak to anybody who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious.”
