A Peterborough man has appeared in court charged with exposing himself near a school.

Lissandro Da Silva (21) of Barnstock, Bretton, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday) where he was charged with one count of exposure.

Sylvia Cundle, prosecuting, said it was alleged Da Silva exposed himself on sports fields near William Law and Ken Stimpson schools in Werrington yesterday.

Da Silva, who wore a plain grey tracksuit, entered a not guilty plea to the charge.

He tried to speak to someone in the public gallery during the short hearing.

He was remanded into custody by magistrate Timothy Cook, who said the allegations were too serious to be heard at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court.

Da Silva will appear at Peterborough Crown Court on Wednesday, June 10.
