Peterborough man charged with knife offence

A man has been charged with possessing a knife in public after a call from a member of the public in Peterborough.

Jorge Loureiro, 44, was arrested at his home address in Wesleyan Road, Dogsthorpe, in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 1 November) following a call from a member of the public about suspicious activity.

He has since been charged with being in possession of a knife in a public place and has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on 14 December.
