A man from Peterborough has been charged after a member of the public reported concerns to police.

Thomas Avery (29) was arrested last night (Thursday) in London Road, Peterborough, after a member of the public reported seeing a man in the street with what they believed to be a knife.
Avery, of Ashville Road, has since been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on July 9.
