Peterborough man arrested during police burglary day of action

Cambridgeshire police made seven arrests during a day of action on burglary.

One of those arrested was a 32-year-old man from Peterborough.

Another was a 19-year-old from the Fenland town of March.

Both were arrested for breaching their bail conditions.

Another one of those arrested was wanted by Thames Valley Police.

Two people remain in custody and nobody has so far been charged.

The day of action yesterday (Wednesday, September 26) took place across the county as part of Operation Aware, Cambridgeshire police’s drive to catch offenders and reduce offences.

Crime prevention events also took place.

Last year there were 299 burglaries in the county in October, more than any other month.
