Peterborough man arrested after police pursuit ends with car crashing into a tree

The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and failing to stop when directed to do so, following the pursuit yesterday evening (Sunday, February 14).

A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: “The incident began at about 7.20pm and involved a white Astra. The occupants of the vehicle decamped, one was arrested and one is outstanding.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information should call 101.”

The pursuit came to an abrupt end roughly four minutes after it had started, with the occupants then fleeing from the car.

They were then pursued on foot and one was later arrested.
