Peterborough man to appear in court today charged with murder of Oxford historian and Harry Potter collector Adrian Greenwood
A Peterborough man will appear in court this morning charged with the murder of a respected Oxford historian.
Police investigating the death of Adrian Greenwood, who found stabbed in his Oxford home, have charged Michael Danaher, 50, of Hadrians Court, Peterborough, with murder.
The body of Mr Greenwood, 42, was found in his home in Iffley Road, Oxford, on Thursday, by his cleaner.
A post-mortem found the Oxford-educated academic, who also dealt in antiques and collected Harry Potter books, had died from multiple stab wounds.
Mr Danaher was arrested on Sunday and has now been charged with murder, Thames Valley Police said.
He will appear in custody at Banbury Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday April 13.
A 26-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on the day Mr Greenwood’s body was found was released without charge on Saturday.
