An alleyway used to cut through Peterborough city centre is being closed because of anti-social behaviour.
The alley, which goes from Priestgate through to Church Street and Cathedral Square, has been used by shoppers and city workers for many years.
However, following a number of issues involving anti-social behaviour, it will now be closed to the public.
A spokeswoman for Barclays Bank, who manage the passageway which runs alongside their Church Street branch said: “Work is currently ongoing to fence the alleyway off.
“We have decided to shut the alley off because of anti-social issues.”
