Peterborough armed police arrest two men thanks to ‘eagle eyed’ resident

Two men have been arrested by armed police on suspicion or having a knife after a resident reported suspicious activity to police.

Officers praised the ‘eagle eyed’ member of the public after the men, aged 39 and 48, were arrested in Fengate last night.

Armed officers attended second drove at 11pm.

The men are currently in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of theft from a vehicle, criminal damage and possession of a knife.
