Football fans are being reminded to behave themselves at a The Chris Turner memorial match between Peterborough United and Cambridge United at London Road this weekend.
A policing operation by Cambridgeshire Constabulary, aimed at keeping people safe and allowing football fans to enjoy the match on Saturday, August 1, will be run in partnership with both clubs.
Chief Inspector Karen Newton, said: “Football fans can expect friendly and fair policing at the forthcoming derby match.
“The police operation has been developed to ensure everyone has a great day out and the vast majority of fans will enjoy the event in the right spirit.
“We can no doubt expect passionate and healthy rivalry between these two family-friendly clubs and their supporters and our focus will be on those whose behaviour has the potential to spoil everyone else’s enjoyment.”
