Pedestrian who jumped in front of vehicle to evade motorbike seriously injured in hospital

A pedestrian is seriously hurt in hospital after jumping to avoid a motorbike, only to end up in the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The collision happened in Weasenham Lane, Wisbech, at around 5.05pm last night (Friday).

Cambridgeshire police said: “A motorbike was being ridden along the pavement at speed and caused a pedestrian to jump off the pavement into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

“The motorbike failed to stop at the scene. Did you see this bike? Did you see the riding prior to the collision? Are you the rider?

“The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with a serious injury.
